As far as your average, not too expensive, coffee makers are concerned, the DeLonghi 12 cup coffee maker is an excellent buy. It comes fully equipped with a digital clock and timer so that you can wake up to freshly brewed coffee in the morning, and has an automatic two hour shut off. The controls are push button, and though the display is on the small side, and unlit, it does the job. As an added bonus there is an Aroma button which, if pushed, slows the drip of the coffee thereby enhancing flavor and strength.
Coffee lovers will greatly appreciate this unique feature. The DeLonghi coffee maker uses a showerhead drip system, also designed to extract the full flavor of the coffee. The glass carafe is easy to use, however; there is a small gap at the top of the handle from which steam tends to escape; beware, it’s hot. This coffee maker is equipped with a pause and serve function for those who can’t wait, and a nonstick warming plate for the all day drinker. The filter swings out for easy access, and the maker comes with a permanent gold tone filter. Make sure the filter is properly aligned when placing it in the coffee maker or the water won’t flow through. The water tank has a water level indicator so that you don’t over fill. The DeLonghi coffee maker has cord storage.
It is easy to clean. It comes in black or white. And has a one year limited warranty. If you like the sounds of it, it can be purchased for around $40.00.
