Cuisinart Grind and Brew

Cuisinart Cup-O-Matic Coffee Maker Review
On the surface, the Cuisinart Cup-O-Matic seems to have what it takes to be a powerhouse in the home coffee brewing world. It is versatile, sleek, and full of features. But in the end, a product has to work and work consistently to be good.
Let's start with the good. One of the key draws of the Cuisinart Cup-O-Matic is that it has the ability to accommodate coffee pods as well as your own ground coffee. So, if you are in a hurry to get to work, pods it is. Having a relaxing Sunday? Go for the fresh ground stuff. Many users praise the quality of the cup of coffee they get out of the Cup-O-Matic and it's no surprise why: this machine has a charcoal filter to remove impurities, and a low pressure pump and boiling system to aid in coffee flavor and depth.
Even though it is a versatile product, on the whole, though, the Cup-O-Matic fails on a few levels with some flaws. First, it is downright noisy. You're buying a coffee maker, not a freight train, and the loud screeching noise that accompanies the brewing will likely wake up your spouse and kids. Most importantly, though, the Cup-O-Matic simply isn't durable. Many users report the machine breaking down after mere months of use. This may be a pitfall for a machine that costs near $100. So while the Cup-O-Matic may be a jack of all trades, it may present some concerns for anyone considering investing a large chunk of money in a home brewing system, even though it is popular coffee making machine, it's does have value for the price and we believe it's worth closer to $50.
