Seattle Best Coffee

Seattle Best Coffee unveiled a new company logo. However, it is somewhat disturbing to some people because instead of a classic look that it once it had it now looks like a Coffee "Blood" Drip Bag.

Even though it is simple in design, I think they could have done better in the logo design. A opinion poll in the Seattle Times discovered an astonishing 68 percent of over 2,000 participants thought Seattle Best Coffee needs to try for a different logo.

Seattle's Best was purchased by Starbucks in 2003 and states that they didn't plan for the new look to become extravagant or aesthetically pleasing. In accordance with a spokesperson for that company, the company logo "has to live in all kinds of environments." The muted appearance might be deliberately generic, as she says they "want it to be a universal sign for good coffee someday."

The logo on the left is the new one and it doesn't invite me to buy a cup of coffee, but I hope it taste good. Even if the new logo doesn't have universal appeal Starbucks still plans to grow the this brand to more than 30,000 locations by the end of the year. This is a tall Cup of Joe in Starbucks language, "venti"—order. Seattle Best Coffee is only available at a limited 3,000 locations right now.

A lot of this marketing will be by existing chain stores. Seattle Best Coffee will show up at AMC Movie Theatres and Border Bookshopp in the near future, including Burger King dining establishments by September. This extensive growth follows on the back of news that the Starbucks brand coffee will soon be available at grocery stores across the country.
